This summer, China celebrated the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return from Britain. National Geographic honored the event with a series called “Tea Culture in South China.” If you missed it, as I unfortunately did, you’re in luck! It can be found in five episodes (just under 10 minutes each) on YouTube. Click here to view these great videos! (I would embed the video, but I can’t get it to work in this version of WordPress. So sorry!)

This is a great video. This certainly reminds me the days that I went to “Cha Lau” with my parents when I was a kid. In US, I still go to “Yum Cha” every now and then. However, the tea they serve here in US is just too bad when compared with the one in Hong Kong.

Chinese tea culture is always at top. In the past people not only formed a special way of tea drinking but also developed an art form called tea-drinking. This art form comprises of many aspects. The most noticeable ones are the making of tea, the way of brewing, the drinking utensils such as tea pot. I salute there tea culture.
